Manage work-life balance

Pioneer

There are many companies who have some great practices to help women manage both work and home without neglecting their careers. Women these days have option to choose from varied options.

Work in flexible hours

Work from home

Profiles like business development, data entries, content management etc. which doesn’t require one to be in office

Conduct meetings via Skype

Part time projects where once can take up work projects as per their availability

Work from flexible locations through satellite offices or while they are on the move

Movement within the organisation. Women working on senior positions with hectic roles have options to switch and opt for less hectic roles within the organisation

Flexi working plans post maternity leaves. Besides extended maternity leaves - some organisation and employees devise flexi working plans that are convenient to both.

These practices not only benefit the employee but also the employers. The employees of course spend less time in commuting to and from work. Increased control over when work is done. For example, an employee might choose to work at late hours and spend time with family and children in the afternoon and helps in maintaining a balance between work and home life. For employers it is beneficial as they can function with smaller office space, less overhead cost, reduced absenteeism and or lateness and increased productivity because of fewer distractions.
