India is producing large number of engineering graduates, however struggling to find skilled graduates to be readily employable. Due to non-availability of quality and skilled engineering graduates, it has become a big concern whether institutions only engage students to earn degrees and not creating engineers for tomorrow.
This shows that design, analytical skills are missing in the respective domain, and students are not motivated for dedicated efforts in research and innovations.
To bridge this gap, ABES Engineering College is working closely with the industry to ensure that the teaching and learning processes are continuously evolved and broaden employment opportunities. ABESEC’s motto “Student First” aims to leave no stone unturned to create skilled graduates to enhance the employability. Industry expectations from fresh graduates is to be multi-skilled and bring innovations on the table to remain competitive in the tough scenario.
Overall Development
ABESEC has embedded personality development programmes within the curriculum to enable all round development. Regular team building programmes, emphasis on sports to cultivate the team spirit, discipline and self-motivation, these programmes have helped students in improving their outlook to gain an edge in the competitive world.
Industry ready
To improve employability, huge investment has been done to set up labs. Automation labs in collaboration with Rockwell Automation, National Instrumentation USA, CAD/CAM/CAE, power management automation software and latest software in structural engineering for industry oriented training have been setup to overcome the challenges.
Various training courses and certifications in collaboration with Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, CISCO Academy etc, are conducted at regular intervals. ABESEC has also been accredited by TCS for recruitment activities.
Embracing Innovations
ABESEC motivates students to participate in national and international competitions and help students to pursue their dream by funding their projects. ABESEC secured first position in the ‘Driving Innovation: Student Robot Competition’ in 2010 organised by DRDO. It’s entrepreneur development cell promotes entrepreneurial awareness and motivates students to innovate and incubate unique ideas into a venture.
Courses offered
The ABESEC offers full time UG and PG programmes. Students can opt for four years UG Bachelor of Technology with specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering; Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Students can enroll for PG /MBA, MCA and MTech courses for Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Admission to ABESEC in UG courses is made through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) and All India Engineering Examinations (AIEEE).
