With the onset of the hiring season in campuses in India, First Naukri’s survey with more than 115 recruiters’ reveals that there will be an overall decline in campus hiring in 2014.
Out of the total recruiters surveyed, 73 per cent said that the number of students to be hired from campuses will be lower in 2014 as compared to 56 per cent in 2013. 44 per cent recruiters who hire engineers expect a decline in hiring in 2014 as compared to 50 per cent who echoed a similar sentiment in 2013. Availability of quality talent remains the lodestone for companies when it comes to selecting colleges for campus hiring.
