The Energy and Resources Institute recently organised a national conference for alumni of various US Government-sponsored exchange programmes from India and Bhutan. Titled as “Building Bridges through Exchanges: Strengthening the US-India Partnership,” the conference saw more than 16,000 alumni from India take part in the exchange programmes. India has one of the largest and the most diverse alumni communities with over 200 alumni of exchange programmes from Bhutan and over 400 from the Tibetan community. The conference brought together members of this vast community to deliberate on issues key to the US-India bilateral relationship and offered opportunities for professional and personal development and networking.
The conference focused on Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Energy and the Environment; Gender and Civil Society etc.
