New course

PNS

TERI University has launched a course on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP). In partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and with the support of European Union, the university aims to enhance learning on SCP, which is part of the sustainable development goals.

The course, which is part of MA Public Policy and Sustainable Development programme offered by the university, is meant for Government policy makers and graduate students of the university to learn about strengthening public governance for SCP and resource efficiency.

The course will be offered as a core requirement for students in the MA Public Policy and Sustainable Development and as an elective course for other postgraduate programmes at the university.

This partnership also made possible the launch of a series of Mini-BlISS Schools. These schools, which are essentially short duration interactive workshops held at TERI University, will introduce sustainable development concepts in 30 low-income public schools of Delhi and Hyderabad, aiming to provide exposure to around 900 students and teachers. The sessions will be led by the postgraduate and PhD scholars of the university. A kit including solar lanterns by TERI will be given to each student for access to renewable energy and lighting sources at their homes and for schoolwork.
