India Merit Undergraduate Scholarships 2016 is offering five Merit Undergraduate Scholarships, available for Indian students at the University of Sheffield. Each scholarship is worth 50 per cent of the annual undergraduate tuition fee. This is guaranteed in the first year of study and is available in each subsequent year, excluding any years in industry or years abroad, subject to achieving 60 per cent or above in the previous academic year. Students of Medicine or Dentistry will only receive the scholarship for the non-clinical years.
Eligibility: Applicants must be self-funding and classed as 'Overseas' for fee purposes and a national of or permanently domiciled in India. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the supporting statement. The final decision will be made by an academic panel.
How to apply: To be considered for this scholarship you need to apply online. The application link will be distributed to eligible students by email from January onwards.
Applicants can’t apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield. The scholarship will be available only to applicants who have made the University of Sheffield their first or firm choice.
Scholarship deadline: Apply for a seat by June 17, 2016 for entry in September 2016. The deadline for scholarship applications is June 24; scholarship results will be announced July 29, 2016.
Swansea University, College of Science is offering a number of UG scholarships.
Eligibility: Applicants can apply for the international scholarships if they are new non-UK/EU undergraduate applicants. Scholarships will be used to offset tuition fees. Applicants should hold a minimum of ABB in A-levels or equivalent; applicants should have applied formally to the university for PG programmes.
Applicants progressing from ICWS are not eligible to apply. Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of their scholarship, accept an offer of a place on a course and pay their £2000 deposit. Scholarship holders are expected to cooperate with the college’s recruitment activities.
