TMISAT
The Tolani Maritime Institute is going to conduct TMI Science Aptitude Test (TMISAT) 2015 at various centers across India for those candidates who want to take admission into the BS Marine Engineering and BS Nautical Technology. This institute has mainly three departments — marine engineering, naval architecture and nautical science. All the courses offered in this institution are approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
Exam pattern
TMISAT 2015 is an online test which has multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Verbal reasoning and Ability subjects. The questions will be asked from those subjects based on Class XI and Class XII CBSE syllabus. The online test will be of two hours and will have total 100 questions. There is negative mark for each wrong answer in only Physics and Mathematics section.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed Class XII from a recognised board with minimum 60 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Also, a minimum score of 50 per cent is required in English either in Class X or Class XII. Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for TMISAT, who are less than 21 years on September 1 of the admission year. There is a relaxation of two years for the female candidates.
Important dates
