AIPVT
The All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for filling up 15 per cent of all India quota seats in veterinary colleges in India (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir). The candidates, who clear the entrance, are admitted in Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc and A.H) programme as per their merit. The duration of B.V.Sc and A.H degree course is spread over five years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months. The tentative number of seats available is 300.
Eligibility
The candidate who has passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and obtained 50 per cent marks in aggregate. For the SC/ST or other special category of students, marks required for admission shall be 10 per cent less than that prescribed for general category. Exam pattern
The AIPVT examination shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The question paper shall be in English and Hindi.
Important dates
Online submission of application form is before May 14, 2015. The last date for final transaction of fee applicable through online is May 16, 2015. The examination is scheduled to be held on June 20, 2015 from 2pm to 5pm.
