Applications are invited for commonwealth scholarship and fellowship plan (CSFP) from the students of participating developing commonwealth countries including India. The scholarship is offered for master and PhD studies at New Zealand universities. The scholarships will cover tuition and enrollment fees and provide an establishment allowance, a basic stipend, approved scholarship-related travel, some course-related costs and medical and travel insurance.
Eligibility: Must reside in their country of citizenship until taking up the scholarship in New Zealand. Be able to satisfy immigration New Zealand requirements. Not hold another scholarship during the period of the Commonwealth Scholarship. Agree in writing that they will return to their country of citizenship.
How to apply: Each applicant must submit to their nominating agency one original application and one photocopy application form and all requested attachments. From the applications received each nominating agency will identify up to two applications to nominate to universities NZ. The universities NZ will receive the nominated applications. These applications will be subject to a final check for eligibility and completeness.
Scholarship deadline: Each nominating agency will set their own country deadline for the receipt of applications. Nominating agencies are aware that their nominations must be received by Universities NZ in Wellington, New Zealand no later than 31st July 2015.
Applications are invited for Ravi Sankaran fellowship programme available for Indian students. The programme funds three major activities: Master’s degree at a university abroad, an internship with an organisation abroad and small grants for a short conservation research or implementation project within India.
Eligibility: Must be resident in India at the time of applying with deep interest in wildlife ecology and conservation. Applicants must hold a bachelors degree in any subject, and should be below 30 years of age on July 1 in the year of application.
