The University College Cork (UCC), an Irish University and Symbiosis law School (SlS) formally marked their partnership to integrate their research and training efforts in the field of law.
A generic memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by both universities in 2013 paves way for a collaborative research between both the reputable schools.
The objective is to help both students and faculty gain wider exposure through various exchange programmes. It is envisaged that the collaboration will lead to the design of special curricula and advanced research in various fields like IP law, IT, corporate governance, environmental law, comparative legal research and HR which both institutions are renowned for.
Professor Shashikala Gurpur, Dean of Symbiosis law School, Pune said, “In view of common history and credentials of excellence at national and international levels, this relationship adds value in terms of cross border knowledge sharing and expertise building among faculty and students.”
