The Aakash National Talent Hunt (ANTHE) 2014 is back in its fifth edition. Top 1000 students will be awarded rebate on their tuition fee and cash prizes, out of which 500 will be from medical stream and the other half from the engineering stream. The total amount of scholarship given by Aakash Educational Services limited is Rs 19 crore and the cash prize sums up to Rs 64 lakh. However
Eligibility: The scholarship is divided in two categories for the medical and engineering aspirants. These categories are further divided into three sub-categories. The students holding ranks from 1st to 100th shall get 100 per cent rebate in tuition, admission and registration fee.
Students standing between 101st to 250th rank are entitled to pay only the registration fee and students holding ranks from 251 to 500 shall receive rebate from the tuition fee. Students holding positions after the first 1000 shall receive waivers ranging from 70-50 per cent in the tuition fee depending upon the rank category.
There are also cash prizes for the top 1,000 students.
Deadline: The last date of application is November 12, 2014 with a minimal exam fee of Rs 300.
Applications are invited for Commonwealth academic fellowships available for mid-career academics from developing Commonwealth countries.
Eligibility: To apply for a Commonwealth Academic Fellowship, candidates should: Be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British protected persons; Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country; Be available to commence their Fellowship in the UK on October 1, 2015; Have been employed for at least five years as an academic staff member of a university in a developing Commonwealth country; Be in the employment of the nominating university; Hold a doctorate
Selection: Academic merit of the candidate and the quality of the proposal is one of the main criteria which will decide.
How to apply: There are two routes: Direct applications may be made by alumni who meet the eligibility criteria set out in this prospectus or be made by invitation through the executive head of an eligible university on the staff of which the applicant serves.
Application deadline: The last date to apply is till is December 3, 2014 and no entries beyond this will be entertained .
