From discussion in the two previous issues, it comes out that a continuum exists all through the run of time. For, the seed planted at a particular moment is what evolves into a fully grown fruit bearing tree in the emerging time. Evidently then, how life stands out at the moment, has to be a culmination of how it has laid down thus far, and which carry in seed-form, the essence of how life is expected to flow in the emerging times. The future course could thus be charted out with a fair amount of precision through a look at the run of time.
In Indian Astrology, different measures of progression of time have been contextually stipulated, which when put to use simultaneously helps arrive at timing of event within a very short range. We will see how they are applied in practical terms in course of analysis of the chart under consideration. In 2005, a Cabinet Minister from one of the northeastern States came asking: “Shall I become the Chief Minister of my state and if so, by when”IJ The answer was positive, but asked to wait for another five years. To arrive at this conclusion, first, a reality check was done whether he qualified for the position in astrological reckoning. In the first place, career potential signifying 10th house enjoyed aspect of karmic Saturn, incidentally the sign lord, as well as the benevolent Jupiter. Second, Jupiter, the 10th cusp sub-lord, is in retrograde motion in the 5th house, identified with karmic carry-over from the past. Third, Jupiter occupies the lunar constellation of the 5th lord, the Sun in exaltation in the 11th house identified with fulfilment of desires. Fourth, Jupiter through its retrograde motion implies carrying on the influence of 4th house (said to be simhasanasthana — the seat of power). All put together made him worthy of the position.
Now, to figure out the time conducive to fruition of his desires, various modes of progression were checked and a synthetic view taken. Progressed Sun was in applying opposition to its planet of limitation, Saturn, implying that the opposition will not allow him making to his destination. In astrological parlance, the Sun, is the signifying planet of the ruler. It is only when the progressed Sun marches ahead by 5 degrees in next 5 years to come out of Saturn’s ambit, when his chances may gain ground.
This way the decks would be cleared for fruition of his cherished desires by 2010. For further ratification and fine tuning the probable time-slot favourable to his ambitions, let us look into other modes of progression – the dasha sequence and planetary alignments in transit. He was running Saturn antardasha in Ketu’s dasha till September 2010. Ketu being in the 12th house apparently denies him a good luck. But, by virtue of being placed in the constellation owned by the Sun in the 11th house, Ketu could grant success. The Saturn, on the contrary, though being the 10th lord looks favourable, but the fact that it occupies the constellation owned by Mercury posited in the 12th house plays to his detriment. The Mercury antardasha to follow, which remains in place till September 2011, may prove favourable. For, it occupies the lunar constellation of Moon, which being in the 6th house promises success over his adversaries. Fortunately for him the incumbent CM had an accidental death early May 2011, which paved the way to the high office. Immediately after he was sworn in as the CM, his adversaries were keen to know how long he will continue. A quick look at the map of the heaven at the time of his swearing in revealed that within six months, transit Saturn shall be exactly opposite the longitude of Mars when he took oath of office. That itself was potent enough to pull the rug under his feat.
It got further vetted by the implications of his natal chart as well. For, he would be running Venus antardasha in its own major period, which being combust not simply threatened fall from position, but did not sound good for his health. And so no wonder, he could not complete six months in office. And, he left for heavenly abode this week, before Venus-Venus period ends. See how the run of time mapped out his future course. But before I conclude, I pray that his soul rests in peace.
