When fundamental truth gets knocked down even out of ignorance, it leads to serious consequences. So no wonder, the worldly existence has got into an existential crisis, ever since seeds of consumerism have been sown in our minds, which in turn, have bred the sense of individualism. We have become self-centric, not bothered about others, and at the worst, religion/culture/caste centric.
Somehow, a sense of identity crisis seems to have overtaken ignorant minds all across, which is what is driving ignorant people trying to make their individual/group presence forced upon others, even if it means taking resort to uncivilised methods. And all this to grab the spoils even when it is at the cost of others. Or for that matter, innocents are getting killed every day because of group vandalism in the name of religion or securing one’s caste rights, here in India and beyond its boundaries.
It may not be out of place to mention here that we are all born imperfect. That calls for a compulsive engagement with others to make up for each other’s inadequacies, and together meet our existential needs. This fundamental truth seems to have been forgotten by the majority. Otherwise, all and sundry would not be living in a demanding mode. What we seem to have forgotten is that if you wish to seek from others what you need, it becomes imperative upon you to give back in return what others require too. The obvious implication is that if at all we wish to secure individual and societal peace and welfare, we shall have to live in a giving mode as nature does. If you expect food from mother earth for your survival, you need to water and nurture her resources too. Similar principle will apply both at societal and family levels.
Here I recall the statement of an Australian Physicist, Paul Davies: “For a naïve realist, the world is a collection of objects. For a quantum physicist, it is an inseparable web of vibrating energy patterns, where no one component has a reality independent of the entirety, included in that entirety is the observer.” So, even modern science has realised that the world is a unitary organism where one’s individual existence will become questionable if the fundamentals of collective existence get anyway compromised.
The irony, however, is that we have become so self-centric that even within a small family, every member is trying to force his/her whims and fancies on others. As a consequence, hardly any family is at peace. The other day a middle aged man, by himself well meaning and professionally well established, came complaining that he feels lost and like a loner. His wife and other family members remain in demanding mode all the time, seldom remembering that even he needs some care. He gets so hassled that he had lost his peace of mind, self-esteem and confidence. As a consequence, his creative urges have gone for a toss.
let us look at his astrological pointers. lagna lord Saturn is locked in adverse formation to Moon, the lord of spouse signifying 7th lord. It implies that the man is vulnerable to be at the receiving end of an ignorant nagging wife. Moon again being mind indicator posited in the 3rd house identified with general mental dispensation, he would get too much unnerved when confronted with unpleasantness. On top of that is debilitated Mars occupying the 7th house and that too ill-disposed off to mischievous Neptune, pointing to a domineering wife suffering from inferiority complex. She would be over domineering with ‘my way or no way attitude’. She may ignorantly misdirect her energies that may prove self-destructive.
The question now is: How to deal with such a situationIJ First, the man has to take resort to spiritual process under the guidance of a proven mentor. Following the process, he will be able to clear off all negative imprints so far gathered in the mind. The mind-space thus cleared off will help expand his scope of vision and increase strength of mind, which in turn, may help regain his self-esteem and confidence. He may then realise that ignorance is the root cause, underlying his wife’s appalling conduct. So, better she is put through continued psychological counselling by a proven expert to make her realise that her happiness can be secured only by being supportive to her spouse. And very soon they may end up a happy couple.
