Any empowerment tool invariably remains a double-edged weapon. If we use them rightfully, it may prove rewarding and fulfilling. Its misuse, on the contrary, can lead to disastrous consequences. The choice is with us. In fact, the very choice option, which remains exclusive preserve of human beings, by itself, is a double edged weapon. For, it carries equal probability of its use or misuse.
How good or bad a choice we opt for, is subject to how our mind is inherently framed, and which varies from person-to-person. Remember, it is our mind which defines our functional mandate, accordingly articulates how to take it forward, and then puts them into act. The question now is: What sets the terms of our functional mandateIJ
There are thought-seeds laid down in our mind, coming as they may with Karmic imprints carried over from the past. These thought-seeds set the premise on which mind gets prompted to act. Evidently, the character and content of the thoughts seeded in mind, will define what sort of choices we would ordinarily make. These thought-seeds influence the mind setting its dream destination, and also set the term for how our minds perceive external stimuli and respond thereto. Some of them may be ill-framed, and evidently to our detriment.
To get over such vulnerability, our mind is endowed with ‘Budhi’ — the faculty of discriminate intelligence. That empowers you to self-reflect and identify indwelling infirmities, address them, and equip the mind for making right choices. Also, it lets you dispassionately perceive any external promptings in right perspective, reason out and accordingly respond. It is this very exclusive privilege that makes us superior to an animal. For, animals react instinctively but would not know, whether it is right or wrong.
The irony, however, is that quite often in the rush of life, one gets caught up by tempting influences of the seeming world so much that it does not allow any scope to invoke Budhi. Consequently, one fails to get to the truth underlying seeming realities, and obviously to one’s detriment. If you fail to make use of your own empowerment tool, you end up acting animal like unmindfully on instinctive promptings. Remember, before you make your choice, things are within your hands. But, once a choice is made, you cannot escape its expected fallout, good or bad. For, we are bound by a cause-effect chain, meaning: ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’
The question now is: How to shape our minds so that one could successfully steer life with ease and comfortIJ That calls for first identifying, acknowledging, and freeing our minds of any preconditioning whatsoever. Second, train your minds to remain alert to keep Budhi in active mode, so as to mindfully steer through the course of life.
A case in point is that of a fun loving young lady, who apparently had no voids in life to look for. But, somehow, she unmindfully responded to interest shown by a scheming guy, just for the fun of it. Once trapped into that, she is being blackmailed, extorted, and even ill-treated, and she does not know how to get out of it. The question now is: What seed-thoughts led her to such unwanted situationIJ
Her astrological pointers offer the answer. Venus in the 5th house makes her a fun loving person. Venus being lord of the 3rd and 8th houses identified with difficulties, clearly points to inviting difficulties on account of love related issues. Venus again, ill-disposed off to Uranus occupying the 8th house, made her vulnerable to unmindfully fall into the trap of a strange relationship in a flash action.
The ground, however, was laid down by the Sun, which is locked in adverse formation to mischievous Neptune. That speaks of a person stuck to self-delusions, which made her wish living by her fanciful dream perceptions of life. Neptune crossing path with intelligence signifying Mercury, accounts for her insensible reasoning and judgment. Also it speaks of a scattering mind, which does not let her do due diligence before jumping into an act. As a consequence she would act on her instinctive promptings. Mind-signifying Moon occupying Mercury owned dual sign, makes change her passion. Moon, again conjunct Mars, makes her self-willed whereby she would wish to live on her own exclusive terms. And the result is there to see.
She has been advised to detoxify her mind. That will help drive away her sense of fear, activate her sense of reasons, and let her regain her usual self.
