Don't take astrology casually

Bharat Bhushan Padmadeo

A couple of years back a gentleman wished to know as to what lied in store of his future. He did not know his exact time of birth. His mother informed him that he was born in the afternoon may be somewhere between 1 pm and 4 pm. Using a proven tool as prescribed by the Krishnamurthi paddhati, I worked out his exact time of birth at 2.02 pm. I then drew an astrological chart for the time of birth arrived and cross checked whether it reflects on some past events. Satisfied, I gave him my reading about the future.

The man was not convinced. He had his doubts whether the exact time of birth can be figured out applying astrological tools. So, he relied more on the chart which someone else had prepared earlier. Based on that chart, some astrologer predicted a very prosperous time mid 2015 onwards. Taking the cue, the gentleman planned expanding his business. Help and support started pouring in, which further convinced him that time was congenial to his growth. The projects that he initiated began with a big bang but not long after, they all got stuck up midway. That left his clueless, how to come out of the impasse. Having struggled for a while, he visited me again.

Going through the chart stored in my file, I pointed out that he must be going through a very tough time so far as his business is concerned for almost one year. All his efforts would go in vain. Work atmosphere would be discomforting. He would be vulnerable to even physical injuries. So it happened, confirmed the man. He then brought out the chart he had referred to while making his business expansion plan and wanted me to check, which of the two charts were correct.

Well, ‘the taste of pudding lies in its eating’, I responded. When the chart referred by me is in conformity with what you have been experiencing in real terms, what is the need for any further checkIJ An apparent look at the astrological chart you have brought, would point to possibility of high growth. But a look at the transit of Saturn revealed that it formed unholy alliance with its dire enemy Mars, and had to play the spoiler. So, on one hand the chart would raise high hopes, but so far as the operational part is concerned, he had to go through difficult times. So, it was fractioned approach and that too premised on an erroneous chart is what misled the man.

Remember, time is the driving spirit of astrology. For, time in astrological frame reflects up on the dynamics of energy flux excited by nature at a particular moment, which gives a reading into the karmic imprint of a being. And the dynamics of every moment keeps varying widely. So, a little error in the time of birth, in the first place, one may miss out on true personality reading of a being. Second, a four minutes error, the timing of event may get off by a year.

But I have a question, asked the man: “If time did not favour success, how come support came pouring in without much of effortsIJ” For, an answer, the question needs to be examined in two different perspectives. So far as the question of eliciting due support of others is concerned, it depends on your inter-personal relationship skills, which includes your communicative skill. The planetary markers in this respect are wisdom oriented Jupiter conjunct mind-signifying Moon which grants you a fertile mind with vision, foresight and imagination. The two also beautifully aligned to intelligence-indicating Mercury, speaks high of your communication skill. Added to that is Neptune being well aligned to the above three planets, indicative of a charming personality, bringing in a sense of appeal in you. So, you could influence people easily and could elicit due support.

Now coming to the business initiatives getting stuck, the 10th cusp identified with career projection needs to be looked at, and that should be precise. The progressed 10 cusp of the corrected chart at the age of 53 was locked in adverse formation with Mercury implying that he was due for difficult time in terms of his career. This, read together with transit Saturn moving opposite his natal Mars, very clearly indicated failure in business efforts. However, the fact that progressed Sun aligned favourably to natal Mercury, pointed to new friendship and alliances.

And the result is there to see. Astrology, therefore, should not be attended casually.
