Be alert to curb challenges

Bharat Bhushan Padmadeo

At the outset, I wish the valued readers of this esteemed journal a very meaningful life in the New Year. This, however, would not be forthcoming unless you remain on full mental alert. A casual approach will not let you take note of oddities and hazards coming your way on their very first appearance so as to nip them in their bud. And unless you clear these road blocks well within time, you may not be able to make the most out of opportunities coming your way.

Truth of life is that nothing comes easy in this phenomenal world, and the least of all to one’s asking. The reason, plain and simple, is that the world remains a natural breeding ground of conflicting thoughts and interests.  For, all through enormity and diversity of this living world, every being and societal group is unique in terms of beliefs, perceptions, habits, and attitudes.

Added to that is the legacy carried over from the past, which will not pass off without giving us a feel of the seeds that we have sown. To top it all is the callings of varying dynamics of emerging time, which comes with fresh sets of challenges, and that further compounds our problems. True, resolving all these hurdles on the strength of our intelligence, we have been able to empower ourselves better and better day-by-day through our experiences and fresh learning. But our problems, too, have been growing in no less a proportion.

This is how nature — in consonance with which our life runs — is designed. For, nature too, does not just follow a linear path, rather takes a spiral course – periodically circling but also presenting its varying dynamics all through its forward march. This is exactly how even nature driven energy — which holds the  key to all aspects of this dynamic world — moves, each particle simultaneously pulsating, rotating, and marching forward. So, while nature reflects a pattern, it simultaneously keeps adding newer dimensions to them all through its run. Evidently, it calls for a continued vigil, periodic review, and visualisation of the callings of the emerging times. Astrology helps a great deal in this respect.

In the above light, it is time now to refresh ourselves with the ground that we laid down last year for necessary course corrections if any needed, and also envision future dynamics. Exactly as highlighted in the opening issue of 2014, change of guard has already taken place at the centre, as did transit Saturn’s adverse aspect on natal Sun in India’s Independence chart imply. The war of words amongst the feuding political parties that preceded the change, as indicated by the chart drawn for the New Moon coinciding with the dawn of 2014 has not died out yet. But it has acquired a new dimension following a new approach to polity set into motion by the present incumbent.

Also, because many of the hardcore supporters of the present political regime in power, who were on their margins in the past, seem to be in a hurry to be on the strike their own wishful ways to make their presence marked without any further loss of time. For, the astrological markers for the New Year present almost similar planetary alignment — the Sun locking horns with intellectually ordained Uranus.

Meanwhile, seven months have passed since the change. Naturally, people would be watching as to what has been done so far towards fulfilment of the dream destination that the winning group had promised them. The astrological indicator in this respect does not sound good as transit Saturn as of now is exactly over natal Ketu in India’s Independence chart pointing to people’s disenchantment and unease. For, they would not be content with mere statistical data and symbolic ideological initiatives.  People will not care what the inflation index has to say, they will count how much their purchasing capacity has improved in real terms.

Security concerns are not expected to ease out either. For, Mars continues to lock horns with Jupiter and Saturn in all the referral charts for the year — drawn for New Year, solar ingress in Capricorn, the two lunar eclipses visible in India as on April 4th and September 28. That makes us vulnerable to radical onslaught, terrorist strike, and communal upsurge. And with mischievous Neptune also in the loop, the mischief-mongers may baffle us with their random strike.

I wish that our administrative machinery as well as we citizens remain vigilant enough to checkmate such evil doing by misguided people.
