A youth was brutally murdered by having his throat slit and being stabbed in the chest at Band Master Square in the state capital on Sunday morning. Initial investigations by the police reveal that eunuchs are the prime suspects in the case, with two eunuchs also sustaining injuries during the incident. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
According to Talaiya police, the incident occurred around 8 am. The deceased, identified as Adil, was found lying in a seriously injured state on the road. Despite being rushed to Hamidia Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The crime scene is located just 200 meters from Talaiya police station.
Adil's brother reported that some friends arrived at Adil’s residence around 6 am in a car. They left the vehicle near the house and departed on a bike. By 8:30 am, the family was informed that Adil was found critically injured on the road.
Eyewitness Munnawar Ali recounted the attack, stating, "I saw four eunuchs assaulting Adil by kicking and punching him. Despite our attempts to intervene, they did not stop. During the altercation, one eunuch sustained injuries, and another had a hand injury."
Talaiya police station in-charge CS Rathore confirmed the initial findings, stating, "Preliminary investigation suggests that Adil was stabbed by eunuchs during a confrontation. We are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning those involved. The suspects are also undergoing treatment for their injuries, and the investigation is ongoing."
Adil had been married since February 22 last year. Notably, his brother, Aamir Barkhedi, was also murdered in the Jahangirabad area previously, raising concerns over a possible connection between the two.
