Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia on Sunday engaged in an insightful dialogue with the state’s youth in Chandigarh, emphasizing their role as catalysts for change. Young leaders from AAP’s Youth Wing, CYSS, and other fronts participated in the discussion on unemployment, drug abuse, and education.
Sisodia hailed the youth's enthusiasm, remarking, “Hearing how these young minds aspire to reshape their reality is inspiring. If we truly want to transform the country, we must listen to them,” he said, stressing that young voices have always led movements for justice and reform. “They don’t just question the system; they become the answers,” he added.
Earlier, on the first day of Navratri, Sisodia visited the historic Kali Mata Mandir in Patiala, accompanied by Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh. He prayed for Punjab’s prosperity and strength in its fight against drugs.
Drawing a parallel between Goddess Kali’s power and Punjab’s battle against drug addiction, Sisodia said: “With Maa Kali’s blessings, Punjab will defeat the demon of drugs.” He highlighted Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s relentless crackdown on drug peddlers and urged youth to stay away from criminal activities.
Sisodia also underscored the AAP government’s achievements, particularly in education. “Yesterday, I visited a government school and attended a PTM. Parents now prefer government schools over private ones due to the remarkable improvements,” he noted. He proudly stated that no child in Punjab schools sits on the floor anymore, with boundary walls secured and teachers receiving world-class training.
“Building a better future for Punjab’s children means securing Punjab’s future,” he affirmed, concluding with a Navratri message of inner strength and service to society.
