Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who campaigned as a star campaigner for the Delhi Assembly elections on Sunday, said that February 5 will be a decisive day for Delhi’s future. He urged the people to recognize the importance of the upcoming time and emphasized that there is much work to be done in the short period remaining. Saini addressed two public meetings in support of BJP candidates Gajendra Daral from Mundka at Ranikheda and Karam Singh Karma from Sultanpur Majra (SC) Sultanpuri.
Saini, while launching a scathing attack on former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, said that the Aam Aadmi Party Government has been a disaster for Delhi. He accused Kejriwal of harassing every section of Delhi’s population over the past decade. “Kejriwal has done nothing but deceive the public with false promises,” Saini said.
He pointed out that Kejriwal had promised clean water for Delhi and claimed that he would clean the Yamuna River. “Now, in 2025, the condition of the Yamuna has worsened even further,” he added, highlighting the failure of Kejriwal’s commitments.
Saini took a jibe at Kejriwal over the issue of Yamuna water, accusing him of lying for his own benefit. “To expose his lies, I went to the Yamuna ghat in Palla village and drank the water myself so that the people’s fears could be alleviated,” Saini said. He explained that he took water from the point where Haryana supplies water to Delhi, as well as from the area where Kejriwal claims to provide water to the city. “I went upstream from that point to fill the water, and there was a stark difference between the two sources,” he added, highlighting the disparity in water quality.
Saini said: “Over the past 15 days, I have visited various parts of Delhi, and the enthusiasm I have seen among the people is undeniable. It is clear that on February 8, the lotus will bloom in Delhi.”
He further assured that the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, similar to those implemented in Haryana, will soon be put into action in Delhi, bringing about a significant positive change in the lives of its residents.
