National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Lupin HWRF jointly celebrated International Women's Day on 11 March 2025 in Mewasjamniya village of Nalchha block in Dhar district.
The programme was attended by Arpana Pandey, District Project Manager, SRLM, Dhar, who was the chief guest. She acknowledged the vital role played by women in the growth and development of the nation. She guided the participants about the importance of savings, the need for strong and vibrant SHGs and about the various credit schemes. . Sanjay Soni, Lead District Manager, Bank of Inida, Dhar spoke about financial inclusion and social security schemes. He stressed that in any unforeseen eventuality, the insurance assistance from schemes like PMJJBY and PMSBY is valuable.
Smt. Sagarika Chaphekar, District Development Manager, NABARD, Dhar highlighted the benefits to tribal farmers from the wadi project sanctioned by NABARD for 500 farmers. She emphasized that in the role of home maker, women often neglect their own health, which should be avoided. An eye check up camp and checking of blood pressure and hemoglobin was also organized on the occasion, for about 120 participants.
Anup Deshmukh, Programme Manager, Lupin Human Welfare Research Foundation (HWRF), apprised the audience of the welfare programmes run by the Foundation in various parts of the country. He stressed that livelihood and health are the key components of their initiatives.
The programme was anchored by Pawan Dewda, from Lupin HWRF and vote of thanks was proposed by Jyoti Chouhan and Rajendra Saniyar.
