A five-day training programme on wireless communication technologies: 5G and beyond, got underway at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) in the state capital on Monday.
The training, titled Wireless Communication Technologies: 5G and Beyond, is being held by the technology institute in collaboration with the E&ICT Academy.
A total of 52 participants are attending the training, which will cover areas such as cell-free massive MIMO, 5G beamforming, Bharat 6G – India’s path to innovation and collaboration in next-generation wireless technology, 6G communications at the terahertz band, visible light communication, and other related topics.
With this Faculty Development Programme, the participants will learn the evolution of 5G technology, its use cases in various sectors of the economy, and its socio-technical impacts.
They will be able to apply their knowledge in creating enabling policies for the proliferation of 5G and its use cases in their respective fields. 5G will provide new opportunities, enabling us to deliver groundbreaking solutions that reach across society.
The Faculty Development Programme is being coordinated by RN Yadav, Gaurav Upadhyay, and Lalita Gupta.
Scheduled for January 6-10, the training programme was inaugurated by Prof Karunesh Kumar Shukla, who presided over the opening session.
The Vice Chancellor of RGPV, Prof Rajeev Tripathi, was also present as the guest of honour, while Prof Aditya Trivedi of ABV IIITM Gwalior delivered the expert lecture on wireless communication technologies.
SPS Rajput, Dean (ID & IR), welcomed the guests, including Deans, Heads of Departments, and faculty members.
