Taking an important step towards streamlining the vendors of the urban area, Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has constructed a vending zone in Morhabadi area.
The main objective of this vending zone is to organize registered vendors, fruit-vegetable vendors and temporary shopkeepers at a designated place and make the road jam-free.
The Administrator inspected the site along with the officials and engineers of the corporation. During the inspection, he directed to complete the remaining work soon and allot shops to the vendors. Additional Administrator, Assistant Administrator, City Investor, Corporation Engineer, City Campaign Manager and other employees were present on this occasion.
Meanwhile, the encroachment removal campaign is in full swing in the Main Road area. The police have started taking action against those who sell tea, ghunti and other food items by illegally putting up carts on the roadside.
In this sequence, many carts were seized on Friday and the related goods were taken to the police station. The administration says that this step is being taken for the convenience of the common people and to maintain smooth traffic system.
At the same time, the action has created panic among the local cart operators. On Thursday also, a four-wheeler was seized from the main road and taken to the police station. The officials have made it clear that encroachment on public places will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
