Two schools and a Central Forensic Science(CFSL) Laboratory received threat emails on March 10, Podar World School in Badwai and St. Mary's School in TT Nagar were threatened that they would be blown up with a bomb. St Mary’s School was already checked thoroughly on Monday.
At the same time, explosive material was reported lying outside the National Forensic Lab located in Khajuri area.
After these incidents, the police and the bomb disposal squad took immediate action and started an investigation, but no suspicious object was found at any place.
A month ago also schools in Bhopal and Indore had received threatening emails in Telugu language.
Gandhi Nagar police station in-charge Suresh Farkale said that on Monday a threatening email was received on the official website of Podar World School, in which it was said that the school would be blown up with a bomb at 2:45 pm.
As soon as the information was received, the police, bomb diffusion team and dog squad reached the spot and thoroughly searched the entire campus, but no suspicious object was found. Currently, the authenticity of the email is being investigated.
St. Mary's School in TT Nagar also received a similar threat email. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rashmi Agarwal Dubey said that as soon as the information was received, the police and bomb squad team reached the school and conducted a thorough investigation, but no suspicious object was found. The police have registered a case in this matter and started further investigation.
Khajuri police station in-charge Neeraj Verma said that at around 1 pm on Monday, the National Forensic Lab received an email, in which it was informed that explosive material was lying outside the lab. After receiving the information, the police force, dog squad and bomb disposal team thoroughly examined the entire area, but no explosive material was found.
At present, no one has been arrested in these incidents. The police are searching for the person who sent the threat email with the help of the cyber cell.
