Festival Sarhul will be celebrated on April 1 in Jharkhand. On this day thousands of devotees will participate in the procession of Sarhul. In view of this, many changes have been made in the traffic system of Ranchi.
Traffic SP Kailash Karmali has given instructions to stop the entry of vehicles on many routes in the city.
On April 1, from 6 am to 12:30 pm, the entry of all heavy vehicles on the main road will be completely closed. Private vehicles will also not be allowed to enter the main road from 1 pm till the procession ends. All big vehicles will complete their journey through the ring road.
Sarhul procession will start from Ranchi College and will reach Sujata Chowk via Radium Road, Shaheed Chowk, Albert Ekka Chowk, Main Road. Processions coming from Namkum, Bada Ghaghra, Doranda will reach Sirmatoli Sarna Sthal at Chutia via Sujata Chowk via the overbridge. More than 12 drop gates will be installed on these routes for traffic control.
Traffic restrictions will be imposed on the routes that remain closed from SSP Awas Chowk to Radium Chowk, Shaheed Chowk, Albert Ekka Chowk, Kali Mandir Chowk, Sujata Chowk, Munda Chowk to Sirmatoli Sarna Sthal.
Vehicles coming from Circular Road will be able to go only till Jail Chowk. Vehicle movement will remain closed from SBI located at Kachhari to Radium Chowk. No vehicle will be able to go from Rajendra Chowk towards Overbridge, Sujata Chowk. Vehicles going from Kanta Toli towards Bahu Bazar will be able to go only till Bahu Bazar.
Entry of all vehicles will be prohibited from Bahu Bazar to Munda Chowk Sarna Sthal and vehicles coming towards Main Road from Thadpakna Marg and Vishnu Cinema Marg will be restricted. 8. There will be no movement of vehicles going from Jamshedpur Road (Namkum area) via Chutia Ketari Bagan to Munda Chowk or Bahu Bazar Chowk.
