The markets are decorated for Holi, the festival of colours, and like last year, herbal gulal prepared from natural products by the women of Sakhi Mandal under the Palash brand under Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) is available in the market. To promote the marketing of herbal gulal and to increase awareness about eco-friendly Holi among the general public, a state level Palash herbal gulal exhibition cum sale campaign has been started.
Under the Palash brand launched by the Hon'ble Chief Minister with the aim of getting the products of rural women of the state recognized in the market, thousands of rural women entrepreneurs of various districts across the state are producing Palash herbal gulal. Under this campaign, the operation of Palash herbal gulal exhibition cum sale stall was started today in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Palamu, Chatra, Ramgarh, Khunti, Lohardaga districts.
As per the instructions of JSLPS Chief Executive Officer Kanchan Singh, more than 100 stalls will be operated in all the districts of the state from 9 to 13 March 2025. The women of Sakhi Mandal are using natural ingredients to prepare Gulal, which does not harm the skin. No chemicals or artificial ingredients have been used in this herbal Gulal. The Didis of the group are using flowers, fruits and leaves to make it.
Spinach for green color, beetroot for pink, Palash and turmeric for yellow and orange color, while natural colors of other flowers and leaves including Sindhar for blue color are being used. Also, natural essence has also been included to make the Gulal fragrant.
Through the Palash brand, we are bringing products made by the hands of rural women to the market. The production of Palash herbal abir is not only environmentally friendly, but it is also providing economic support to thousands of rural women. Their products have got a new identity through the Palash brand, which is increasing their income and also promoting rural entrepreneurship. This year, stalls have been set up by JSLPS in major centers of all the districts from March 9 to March 13, where products like 'Palash Herbal Gulal' as well as Palash Ragi Laddu, Handmade Chocolate, Cookies etc. are being sold.

Colorful Gulal is available in five varieties. It can be purchased from the nearest Palash Mart or Holi Special Display Stall.
Under this campaign, stalls of Palash Herbal Gulaal will be operated in Ranchi urban area at major offices of the state government- FFP Bhawan, Secretariat (Dhurva), Jharkhand High Court Complex- and major commercial places- Ranchi Mall, Nucleus Mall, Spring City Mall (Hinoo), Doranda Bazaar, Atal Vendor Market, Pantaloons (near Lalpur), Reliance Mall (Kanke Road), Morabadi Ground and AG Mor etc.
Along with Palash Herbal Gulaal, women are also selling pure products like handmade chocolates, ragi laddus, namkeen at the stalls.
