In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy has been arrested along with two of his friends for allegedly murdering his father, whose body was discovered behind the Kathonda waste plant on April 10. The case, which initially appeared mysterious, was cracked by Madhotal police through meticulous investigation and CCTV analysis.
The victim was identified as 51-year-old Surendra Lal Kori, a Kotwar (village guard) and resident of Kathonda. His wife, 45-year-old Gita Kori, confirmed his identity after police informed her about the body found near the waste disposal site.
As per the postmortem report, the cause of death was strangulation, leading the police to suspect foul play. A special investigation team was formed to probe the case.
During the investigation, CCTV footage revealed that four individuals on a motorcycle were seen traveling from Green City towards the waste plant area via Mother Teresa Nagar on the night of April 9. Their movements raised suspicions.
Following leads from the footage and local testimonies, the police detained three youths: 19-year-old Uday Charar, 18-year-old Sahil Raikwar, and the victim's 17-year-old son, Sunderlal Kori.
