The Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association, an organization of Bengali speakers, organized a film song-based competition titled Geetoshree 2.0 as part of the centenary celebrations at the City Bengali Club in Jabalpur. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 90 contestants. Finalists were selected from four categories-Sub Junior, Junior, Senior, and Pratibha Samman (Talent Honour) group—with five participants reaching the finale from each group.
The grand finale was held on the occasion of Maha Ashtami, where judges Kuljeet Singh, Shamik Pal, Sharmistha Ghosh, and Sachin Upadhyay evaluated the finalists and selected the winners.
In the Sub Junior category, Prapti Pachauri secured first place, followed by Avni Dhanopia in second and Akmal Faraz in third. In the Junior category, Anvi Mishra won first prize, while Shiksha Kori and Manas Srivastava secured second and third places, respectively. In the Senior group, Priyanshi Sharma was declared the winner, with Falguni Ghansela and Harsh Vishwakarma as runners-up. Among the senior citizens in the Pratibha Samman group, Anjan Dasgupta claimed first position, followed by Aniruddha Chakraborty in second and Sunil Kumar Nagen in third.
The winners received cash prizes and trophies, with the first prize amounting to Rs 11,000, second prize Rs 8,000, and third prize Rs 5,000. Participants in the Pratibha Samman group were awarded attractive gifts. In addition to trophies and certificates for all winners, all finalists received gift hampers as a token of appreciation. The awards were distributed by esteemed guests Vijit Guha and Sanjay Nagarkar.
Prominent members of the organizing committee, including Subrata Pal, Prakash Saha, Surjeet Guha, D.K. Roy, Niladri Chatterjee, Anurag Pal, Shekhar Dey, Vijay Bhattacharya, Sourav Som, Ashish Sen, Ashish Ghosh, Kanti Roy, and Sangeeta Bhadra, were present at the event and contributed to its success.
