Strong winds and heavy rains lash most parts of State

The weather has become pleasant in Ranchi. After strong sunshine throughout the day, heavy rain started with strong winds after 3.30 pm. Due to which people have got some relief from the heat.

The Meteorological Department informed that the weather is changing due to a cyclonic circulation in Jharkhand, which is moving towards Bangladesh via Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bengal and Jharkhand. Due to which the weather is fluctuating in the state.

The Meteorological Department had issued an alert for rain and thunderstorms in many districts of Jharkhand. According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Koderma districts in the next two to three hours. There may be heavy rain in Garhwa, Giridih, Lohardaga, Latehar and Palamu districts as well.

The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather and rain in most parts of the state including Ranchi in the next 24 hours. Due to this, a drop of 2-3 degrees in temperature can be recorded.

 

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in some parts of the state, while a yellow alert has been issued for some parts. The Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of hailstorm, thunderstorm and rain with strong winds and lightning in some parts of the eastern part of the state.

The Meteorological Department informed that on April 15, hailstorm, thunderstorm and strong winds may occur in some parts of the eastern part of the state. The wind speed will be up to 60 kilometers per hour. Similarly, the wind speed can go up to 50 kilometers in the western and north-eastern districts of the state. Light to moderate rain can occur in the districts of this part. The second week of April is going to pass with light to moderate rain.

The Meteorological Department also informed that till April 16 and April 17, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, rain and lightning in some parts except the western part of the state. The wind speed in these areas can go up to 50 kilometres.
