As temperatures continue to rise, Bokaro’s Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park has implemented a series of measures to protect animals from the sweltering summer heat. To provide relief, coolers and fans have been installed inside enclosures, while dedicated water bodies have been readied for hippos and bears to help them stay refreshed.
Additional shade structures have been placed over other enclosures to protect animals from direct sunlight. Zoo authorities are conducting regular and close monitoring to ensure the well-being of every animal during this harsh season.
To strengthen immunity and help the animals cope with the changing weather, their diets have been supplemented with vital nutrients, including vitamins, electrolytes, and minerals. Continuous efforts are underway to ensure a safe, healthy, and stress-free environment for all the zoo's inhabitants throughout the summer.
