A session on stress-free parenting was organized at Beldih Club, Bistupur, by the Jamshedpur chapter of Young Indians (YI). Renowned counseling psychologist and parenting expert Saloni Priya conducted the session, sharing valuable insights on balancing love and logic in parenting.
Addressing over 50 participants, Priya emphasized that consistency is key to effective parenting. She highlighted the importance of praising children for their efforts while also teaching them problem-solving skills to navigate challenges independently.
The session featured interactive activities, including audio-visual presentations, group discussions, and a Q&A session. Priya categorized children into three learning types—Visual Learners, who rely on graphic aids; Auditory Learners, who absorb information best through listening; and Kinesthetic Learners, who learn through physical activities.
She reassured parents that there are no "good" or "bad" parents, as every parent strives to provide the best for their child. The engaging and insightful session left parents equipped with practical strategies to foster a healthy and stress-free home environment.
