In a significant crackdown against Naxal activities, security forces have recovered a large cache of arms and explosives during an extensive anti-Naxal operation in West Singhbhum. The joint operation, conducted by the Chaibasa Police and multiple battalions of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), led to the seizure of: 1 Pistol with ammunition, 7 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), 5 Detonator Electronics, 250 Detonator Non-Electrics, 10 Remote Controls, 20 Remote Battery Triggers, 7 Plastic Containers with explosives, 1 Cutter Machine, 1 Wireless Communication System, 35 Steel Pins, 1 Drum of Chemicals, 30 Safety Masks and Multiple Naxal documents and other daily-use materials.
Security forces dismantled a crucial Maoist hideout in the forested area near Jhidibadgi village, preventing potential attacks on security installations and civilians. Several traps laid by insurgents were neutralized to ensure the safety of the personnel involved in the mission.
Since 2022, security forces have been intensifying their operations in Naxal-affected areas, including villages near Ghurbandha, Naxalite strongholds in Bokaro, and the bordering areas of Jharkhand’s Tonto police station. The primary aim is to dismantle Naxal networks, disrupt their supply chains, and weaken their influence in these territories.
In response to intelligence inputs regarding Maoist movements, authorities initiated the latest round of security sweeps, with forces being deployed in remote and densely forested zones. The presence of armed Naxals has been reported in several pockets, prompting continuous vigilance and tactical operations.
The successful seizure of explosives and arms has been hailed as a major victory against Naxal insurgents. The state government has commended the security forces for their proactive approach in ensuring public safety. Authorities have also urged local residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing any relevant information regarding Naxal movements in their villages.
Officials have reassured that such operations will continue until the Maoist menace is completely eradicated from the region. The police and CRPF have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, emphasizing that public participation is crucial in the fight against insurgency.
Authorities have also intensified surveillance using drone technology and night-vision reconnaissance to track Maoist movements. Special units trained in jungle warfare have been deployed to tackle the insurgents in their hideouts. Security officials emphasize that the fight against Naxalism is far from over, and more such operations will be carried out in the coming months.
