The District Hospital (Sadar Hospital) has earned the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certificate from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, marking a significant achievement in the district’s healthcare system.
Deputy Commissioner, Ananya Mittal, expressed his immense happiness and pride on the accomplishment, congratulating the entire team of doctors and healthcare workers, including Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, for their dedicated efforts. “This recognition at the national level has certainly boosted the morale of the doctors and health workers in our district. It is a proud moment for us all,” Mittal stated.
He further highlighted the district administration's ongoing efforts, under the instructions of the state government, to strengthen healthcare services and ensure quality medical care at various government-run hospitals, including CHC (Community Health Centers), PHC (Primary Health Centers), and Health and Wellness Centers, in both rural and urban areas.
The NQAS is a quality assessment scale established to evaluate government hospitals based on a range of criteria. The District Hospital (Sadar Hospital) achieved a remarkable 86% score after fulfilling the comprehensive parameters set by the NQAS. This certification signifies the hospital's commitment to delivering top-quality healthcare services to the community.
It is also noteworthy that the Sadar Hospital had previously received the NQAS certificate in 2023, further solidifying its reputation for providing high-standard medical services.
The achievement reflects the district's continuous commitment to improving public healthcare facilities, ensuring that citizens receive efficient and reliable medical care.
