RPF Garhwa road railway junction post proved once again a friend in need of children. It foiled an imminent trafficking of humans and all minors.
A team of RPF personnel of Garhwa road railway junction post under the command of the inspector incharge Banarasi Yadav nabbed a human trafficker and rescued 10 minor children all male on the intervening night of Monday/Tuesday March 17/18 at the Daltonganj railway station under the Dhanbad division of the east central railway.
Stating this Yadav said the human trafficker identified as Naushad Alam,38 of Palamu was taking down the 10 minor boys to Anand Vihar (Delhi) by the Jharkhand Swarn Jayanti express train 12873 Up Ranchi Anand Vihar.
The minors in Delhi were to work in some cooler factory there as revealed by the human trafficker.
"Had there been even a 5 minute delay on the part of the RPF patrol team at the Daltonganj railway station last night, the human trafficker and 10 minors would have boarded the Anand Vihar express train leaving us back guessing here" added Yadav.
Among the 10 rescued, seven are from Palamu and three from the Latehar district. The human trafficker is also from Palamu district.
The rescued boys were in the age group of 14 to 16. Come summer, minors specially boys are smuggled to Delhi from Palamu and Latehar districts to work in cooler factories.
Right from the human trafficker down to the ten minors all had a general ticket each for Anand Vihar railway station. The tickets were bought by Alam.
RPF inspector incharge said "We have retrieved the 11 railway tickets (1+10) as part of the material evidence."
The human trafficker had no consent letter of the parents of any of the ten minors nor any authority letter to this effect. It was an illegal and unlawful smuggling of humans by a human trafficker.
He just told the RPF team that his job was to drop these 10 minors at Anand Vihar and return to Daltonganj. He told the RPF that each of the 10 minors would be getting 9,000 per month in the cooler factory in Delhi.
The human trafficker has been duly handed over to the police official at the anti human trafficking police station in Daltonganj while the 10 rescued to the child welfare committee.
