The special police team formed for investigation of the Anil Tiger murder case finally claimed to have solved the case and arrested five persons involved in the case.
In a press meet on Thursday at SSP Office SSP cum DIG Chandan Sinha revealed that Devvrat Nath Shahdeo, a resident of Bada Lal Street Kishoreganj, Ranchi, had given contract to shooters for the murder of Anil Tiger over 10 acres of disputed land located in Gadi Khatanga village of Kanke police station area.
On July 26, BJP leader Anil Tiger was shot dead by criminals at Kanke Chowk located in Kanke police station area of the capital.
The role of seven people has been found in carrying out this incident. These include, Devvrat Nath Shahdeo, Abhishek Sinha, Rohit Verma, Aman Singh, Zeeshan Akhtar, Manish, Chaurasia and Ajay Kumar Rajak.
Out of these, four accused have been arrested by the police. These include, Aman Singh, Manish Chaurasia, Zeeshan Akhtar and Ajay Kumar. The police are raiding the possible hideouts to arrest the rest of the accused involved in this incident.
In the police investigation, it was found that Anil Tiger was opposing the occupation of 10 acres of land by Devvrat Nath Shahdeo with the help of villagers. During which the talks between Shahdeo and Anil Mahato failed several times. During the talks itself, in the month of August 2023, Shahdeo was forcibly occupying the said land by constructing a boundary wall, during which Anil Mahato, with the help of local villagers, opposed the occupation being done by Shahdeo.
In this context, Shahdeo, through the caretaker of the said land, Dilip Kumar Munda, had lodged a case at Kanke Police Station Case No. 215/2023 against eight named persons including Anil Mahato and 40-50 others in Kanke police station on charges of assault, vandalism and extortion.
Even after this incident, Shahdeo tried to encroach upon and sell that land through his associates many times. But deceased Anil Mahato continuously opposed Shahdeo, as a result of which Shahdev could neither occupy nor sell that land.
Shahdeo decided to build an approach road named Palkot House Road on the disputed land from the MP fund. A program was organized for its foundation stone laying through MP Ranchi, when deceased Anil Tiger received the information of which, he presented the facts related to the disputed land before the MP.
According to witnesses, when the MP came to Gagi for the foundation stone laying, Anil Tiger again opposed this foundation stone laying, so the MP cancelled the foundation stone laying program and returned. Devvrat Nath Shahdeo was upset and angry due to Anil Mahato's continuous opposition to all the efforts of Shahdev to illegally occupy the disputed land.
He also suffered financial loss due to not being able to take possession of the land and not being able to sell it. In order to remove the obstacle created by Anil Mahato alias Anil Tiger in the process of taking possession of the land by Shahdeo, a plan was made to kill Anil Mahato and a contract killer Abhishek Sinha was given for the murder.
