The capital Ranchi is going to witness the grand air show of the Indian Air Force for the first time. This historic event will be held on 19 and 20 April at Khoja Toli Army Ground in Namkum. The special thing is that there will be no ticket to watch this exciting air show, that is, the entry will be completely free. Meanwhile, the district administration is also leaving no stone unturned to make this air show a success. On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, administrative officers are continuously inspecting the ground.
In this episode, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Utkarsh Kumar also took stock of the preparations on Tuesday and directed to complete all the necessary arrangements soon.
During this, all the senior officials of the district, Municipal Corporation, Fire Brigade, Medical Team, Local Police Station Incharge and all the officials related to the program were present.
The air show will be held from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. But the spectators will have to reach their seats in the ground by 8:30 am. The special feature of this show will be the Indian Air Force's 'Suryakiran' aerobatic team, which will perform amazing and astonishing aerial stunts in the sky.
School children have been specially invited on April 19, so that they can see the feats of the Air Force closely and get inspired by it.
To manage the crowd and the system, seating arrangements, drinking water, toilets, medical facilities, fire brigade, police force and security personnel are being ensured.
The district administration is busy in preparations, so that the spectators do not face any kind of inconvenience.
For the first time in Ranchi, the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team's air show will be held on April 19 and 20. Nine fighter pilots will showcase their skills in the sky. The air show will be held at Namkum Army Ground. Entry to the event is free. The event will be held from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. The organizers said that Ranchi's sky will come alive when the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team performs the air show. Practice will be conducted on April 17.
The Surya Kiran team includes 9 Hawk Mk 132 aircraft manufactured by HAL in India, which fly very close to each other at distances of less than 5 meters. The team has 14 pilots. The team leader is Group Captain Ajay Dasrathi. The deputy leader is Group Captain Siddesh Karthik.
The Surya Kiran team performs the air show in two halves. In the first half, all aircraft come together to form formations together. While in the second half, all aircraft split into different teams to display various stunts in the sky and create formations.
During the air show, these aircraft fly at speeds ranging from 150 kilometers per hour to 650 kilometers per hour.
