Palamu district police have struck a blow to the crime network of the gangster Sujit Sinha.
Police pre-empted a crime going to happen in an organized way. It was a very challenging and arduous task which the police performed flawlessly.
Six of Sujit's gang have been caught and jailed. Police have recovered 2 pistols, 11 cartridges, 11 cell phones, 10,000 cash etc.
SP Reeshma Ramesan told press these six were to give extortion calls to traders and businessmen but before that they were nabbed by the police in bulk.
Three of the six hail from Bihar, two from Garhwa and one from Palamu. The six are Prince, Ameet, Saurav, Ritik, Sameer and Dharmender. They are in the age group of 24 to 37.
The SP conceded there were coming extortion calls to traders and businessmen over the last two months in the name of the hangate Sujit Sinha.
All the six have criminal cases, two of them had spent time in jail also.
The nabbing of the six would be a great shocker to the hangate Sujit Sinha, said police sources.
