The newly published book of Padma Shri recipient Ashok Bhagat, founder cum secretary of Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, “Parampara aur Prayog” was launched by the chief guest of the ceremony, the Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dattatreya Hosabale, in the office premises of Arogya Bhawan-01 of the organization in Ranchi on Friday. In the book, along with showing the various efforts made by Ashok Bhagat for the betterment and promotion of the tribal society in the past years, his tireless efforts for the conservation of water, forest and land have also been beautifully depicted. Also, the life journey of Ashok Bhagat from Azamgarh to Bishunpur in Jharkhand state has also been depicted in this book.

The program started with the national song Vande Mataram and lighting of lamps and presenting a welcome song in Asur language. Thereafter, the guests on the stage were introduced by the Vice President of the organization, Ranjana Kumari. Thereafter, the special guest of the program, Dr. Asha Lakra, Member, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, introduced Ashok Bhagat and his new book. In her speech, she said how Ashok Bhagat is continuously working for the promotion of PVTG and by continuously working at the grassroots level, today Vikas Bharti Bishunpur has stood like a banyan tree.

Ashok Bhagat welcomed all the guests present and shared his experiences of writing with everyone. He thanked many of his old colleagues for inspiring him to write his book. Thereafter, the special guest of the ceremony, (Dr.) Pradeep Joshi, Chairman, National Testing Agency (NTA) in his address said that Ashok Bhagat's writings on various dimensions are very inspiring as well as have the ability to change the social outlook. He further said that setting a goal in life and continuously moving towards achieving it is not an ordinary task, for this Ashok's life is definitely inspiring for everyone.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Dattatreya Hosabale said in his address that he is only a member of Vikas Bharti, hence he should not be considered a guest. Thereafter, while referring to the Emergency, he also mentioned the work done by him and Ashok Bhagat as a worker of the Vidyarthi Parishad. He further said that Ashok dedicated his entire life for the uplift of the tribal society and to bring about a change in the society, he also got himself migrated, transformed and renamed, and this is not an ordinary thing.

He further said that society will have to strike a balance between modernity and tradition. He further said that through this book, Ashok has emphasized on forest system and law, the journey of social transformation and experiments for social uplift for the future, so all of us must read this book based on his biography.

All the guests present on the stage also inaugurated the village level awareness program that Vikas Bharti is going to do from 14 April 2025 to 05 June 2025 for the conservation of water, forest and land.

The program was concluded after the President of the organization, Ajay Kumar Singh gave a vote of thanks. The program was conducted by the Vice President of the organization, Ranjana Kumari.
