Politics has started after the communal violence during the Mangala procession (Pre Ramnavmi procession) in Hazaribagh. The ruling party and opposition MLAs who reached the assembly during the budget session were seen entangled in the Hazaribagh violence case. BJP MLAs raised slogans in the assembly premises with placards in their hands and blamed the government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
During the Mangala procession in the district, two communities clashed with each other. Stones were also pelted on each other. During this, the police also fired four rounds in the air to disperse the crowd. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, Hazaribagh SP was present at the spot and appealed to the people to maintain peace.
The second Mangala procession was taken out in Hazaribagh late on Tuesday night. During this, two communities clashed near Jhanda Chowk Jama Masjid Road. Stones were also pelted between the two. However, no one was injured in the incident. As soon as the news spread like fire, thousands of local people gathered at the spot.
The BJP MLAs who were raising slogans in the assembly portico accused the government of appeasement and expressed their displeasure for deliberately creating disturbance during the Hindu festival. BJP MLA Ujjwal Kumar Das targeted the government and said that is it a crime to celebrate Hindu festivals in Jharkhand. He said that the way the incident happened in Hazaribagh, it is clear that the government is appeasing.
BJP MLA Manoj Yadav said that whenever a Hindu festival comes, there is some disturbance somewhere. The administration will take action against those who have pelted stones or they will be left alone.
Hazaribagh BJP MLA Pradeep Prasad says that the lights were switched off before the incident. When the Mangala procession ended, while returning, stone pelting was done to spoil the atmosphere. He said that the government should take action against the guilty people as soon as possible, otherwise the atmosphere will deteriorate further.
On this occasion, BJP MLA CP Singh said that stones were thrown at Sanatanis by Jihadis. He said that it is not right to disturb the festival of Hindus in this way.
The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has retaliated to the allegations made by the BJP MLA. JMM MLA Sameer Mohanty has attacked the BJP and said that the BJP has always been doing the work of inciting religious sentiments. The country has become free not only by Hindus but by the efforts of all people.
While advising the BJP MLAs to get treatment in Kanke, he said that the government is ready for peace in the state and people of every caste and religion live in the society and they also have the right to live. No one has been given the right to incite religious sentiments. However, amidst political rhetoric, the echo of Hazaribagh communal violence remained inside and outside the House today.
