The opposition is very angry over the deletion of the names of about 18 lakh women from the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana in Jharkhand. Along with the Bharatiya Janata Party, MLAs of the allied parties LJP (Ram Vilas) and AJSU are also vocal. LJP (Ram Vilas) MLA from Chatra, Janardan Paswan, accused the Hemant Soren government of betraying the trust of the women of the state. He said that before the elections, votes were taken by depositing money in the accounts of 57 lakh women. But now after forming the government, the names of the beneficiary women are being deleted.
BJP MLA Purnima Das also said on the deletion of names of a large number of women that today 18 lakh women of the state are wandering to get their money due to this government. MLA Janardan Paswan said that in a small district like Chatra, not one or two but 59 thousand women's names were deleted. MLA Janardan Paswan said that this government will not fulfill the promises made to the people, now its trust has been strengthened.
Purnima Das, daughter-in-law of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das and MLA from Jamshedpur East, has been vocal about the Mainiya Samman Yojana. On Wednesday, she said that the promise was to give Mainiya Samman money to all women in the state between 18 and 50 years of age, but what is happening in reality. Purnima Das said that the Mainiya Samman money was to be given to 70 lakh women, but before the elections, money was given to the accounts of 57 lakh women. MLA Purnima Das said that after the elections, the number of beneficiary women is decreasing every day by imposing new conditions.
Raghuvar Das's daughter-in-law said that the government has sent the money to the accounts of only 30-35 lakh women. In such a situation, it is an insult to those women whose accounts have not received the money. Purnima Das alleged that the helpline number issued for women is closed and said that when she herself called on that number, the number was found to be closed. She said that today 18 lakh women of the state are forced to wander here and there to get their money.
