Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) marked National Safety Day 2025 with a special event at the Gyanarjan & Vikas Kendra auditorium. The event was graced by Director In-Charge Birendra Kumar Tiwari, along with senior executives including Executive Directors C.R. Mahapatra and C.R. Mishra, Chief Medical Officer B.B. Karunamay, and other dignitaries.
The program commenced with a video message from SAIL Chairman Amarendu Prakash, emphasizing the theme "Safety and Well-being – Essential for a Developed India." Birendra Kumar Tiwari led the safety pledge, urging everyone to integrate safety into their daily lives. Officials shared insights on workplace safety, and department heads discussed their safety initiatives.
Trophies were awarded for safety and housekeeping excellence, with Sinter Plant, TBS, CRM-III, Shops & Foundries, CED, and Central Electrical Maintenance among the winners across various categories. Departments excelling in area maintenance were also recognized, including Blast Furnace, SMS-II & CCS, Hot Strip Mill, EMD, PGP, and MRD. Employees demonstrating exceptional safety commitment were honored, alongside contributions from medical, training, HR, and public relations departments.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by GM (Safety & Fire Services) Vikas Gupta, reinforcing BSL's commitment to a strong safety culture.
