Boosting healthcare infrastructure in the state capital, four Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have secured National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification. The National Health Systems Resource Centre awarded the certification after rigorous assessment, with scores ranging from 84.07% to 92.84%.
The assessment, conducted in February, involved evaluating records, patient care protocols, and staff efficiency. It also incorporated interviews with community health officers, auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs), and ASHA workers regarding their field experiences.
The evaluation focused on seven service packages, including maternal and child health, adolescent healthcare, family welfare services, and management of communicable and non-communicable diseases. It also covered neonatal care, outreach activities, and compliance with national health programmes.
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Prabhakar Tiwari said that all health institutions in the district are providing quality services. He emphasised that healthcare facilities are being run in line with quality standards to ensure efficient medical care.
A special vaccination drive against measles and rubella has been launched alongside National Immunisation Day to enhance immunisation coverage and awareness.
The initiative is part of India’s goal to eliminate measles and rubella by 2026, with a target of 95% coverage for MR1 and MR2 vaccines. A Vaccination Awareness Week will be observed from March 17-22.
The week-long programme will feature rallies, training sessions for health workers, pledge ceremonies, wall paintings, and signature campaigns to raise public awareness. staff reporter n Bhopal
