The Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (MYUVA) launched by the Yogi Adityanath government has quickly become the top choice for young entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh. Within just 55 days of its launch, over 1.5 lakh youth have applied to benefit from the scheme. Initially, the Yogi government had set a target to provide loans to one lakh youth in the first phase.
Thanks to Chief Minister Yogi’s direct monitoring and emphasis on transparency, banks have already approved loans for over 32,000 applicants within two months. Out of these, more than 17,000 youth have received loan disbursements in their accounts. Notably, Shravasti district has topped the state in loan distribution, followed by Maharajganj in second place and Rampur in third.
The scheme is playing a crucial role in fostering self-employment and economic empowerment among Uttar Pradesh’s youth. While 1,51,590 applications were received under the first phase, banks across the state have sanctioned loans to 32,757 applicants, with 17,770 already receiving the loan amount. This initiative is not just creating new entrepreneurs but also contributing significantly to the state’s economic growth and self-reliance mission.
Shravasti District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi stated that following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, special camps are being organised across the district to help as many youth as possible benefit from the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan.
He said that in the first phase, the district had set a target to distribute loans to 700 youth. However, 2,190 applications were received, out of which banks approved loans for 650 applicants, and 436 youth have already received the funds, achieving 62.29 per cent of the target. With this success, Shravasti has secured the top position in the state for implementing the scheme.
After Shravasti, Maharajganj and Rampur rank second and third, distributing 60.40 per cent and 51.90 per cent of their respective targets. Ambedkar Nagar and Lalitpur follow in fourth and fifth place. Other districts, including Kannauj, Rae Bareli, and Bahraich, have also shown remarkable progress in loan distribution.
The growing interest in this scheme, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, highlights how youth are eager to start their own businesses and become self-reliant. This initiative by the Yogi government is not only empowering young entrepreneurs but also playing a significant role in boosting Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth.
