In a significant move towards enhancing the infrastructure of Jamshedpur East Assembly Constituency, MLA Purnima Sahu on Thursday laid the foundation stone for 28 major development projects at the Town Hall Complex in Sidhgora. The event was attended by Sanjeev Kumar, the representative of MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, along with local officials and community members.
The total cost of these ambitious projects is pegged at Rs 5,94,62,291, with funding provided by the Urban Development and Housing Department and the execution of the works overseen by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC). The projects are expected to bring significant improvements to both road transport and civic amenities in the region.
Out of the 28 projects, 12 are related to road transport, with a budget allocation of Rs 2,18,55,314, while 15 projects are focused on civic amenities, amounting to Rs 3,47,36,827. Additionally, a project worth Rs 28,70,150 has been approved under the 15th Finance Commission.
Among the key initiatives are the construction of roads in Birsanagar Zone No. 1, Brahmantola of Bhuiyandih, and Mathura Garden of Golmuri. The paver block installations will take place in areas like Birsanagar, Kashidih, Burmamines, and Sitaramdera, while several drainage works will be carried out in Manifit, Birsanagar Zone No. 1, and Bhuiyandih. A library hall will be built in the Golmuri community hall, along with the construction of boundary walls for plots in Bagunahatu and Bhuiyandih. Furthermore, a community building will be constructed in Devnagar, among several other important infrastructural developments.
Speaking at the ceremony, Purnima expressed her commitment to the comprehensive development of her constituency. “I am dedicated to the all-round progress of the Jamshedpur East Assembly Constituency. My goal is to make this area a model constituency in Jharkhand, and I will continue working relentlessly towards achieving this vision,” she said.
