Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that doctors hold the highest place in society and that medical service is the greatest service to humanity. He urged all doctors to always uphold compassion, empathy, and humanity in their hearts.
Dr. Yadav announced that to promote medical tourism in Madhya Pradesh, the state government will provide grants to private hospitals and large medical groups. Financial assistance will also be given to private efforts promoting wellness centers, naturopathy centers, and Ayurvedic (AYUSH) treatments. The government is also encouraging the establishment of cow shelters (Gaushalas).
The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of Kabra Hospital and Research Center in Badnagar, Ujjain district, on Sunday. Present at the event were Saint Pandit Kamal Kishore Nagar Maharaj, MP Anil Firojiya, BJP National Organization Secretary Shiv Prakash, District In-charge Minister Gautam Tetwal, Badnagar MLA Jitendra Singh Pandya, Nagda MLA Dr. Tej Bahadur Singh, hospital director Dr. Vasudev Kabra, and other public representatives.
Dr. Yadav mentioned that a cement plant worth ?3,500 crore is being established in Badnagar with the state government's initiative, which will create employment opportunities and boost the industrial development of the region.
He praised the Kabra family for their decades-long dedication to medical service and said it is commendable that under Dr. Vasudev Kabra’s leadership, the third generation of the family is continuing this legacy with full commitment to serving the sick and needy of Badnagar. Establishing such a large hospital in a small town like Badnagar is truly praiseworthy, he added.
Yadav emphasized that the guidance and teachings of saints are paving the way for public service in the state. He appreciated Ayurveda and natural medicine systems, stating that they aim to eradicate diseases from the root. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ayurvedic concoctions helped save the lives of millions, he noted.
He added that we are blessed by the divine to have a healthy body, and if an illness occurs, nature itself has provided the means to cure it permanently through natural methods.
Yadav remarked that today marks the first day of Vikram Samvat, our traditional Indian calendar. He described our timekeeping system as both scientific and practical. He pointed out that ancient Indian calculations could measure even 1/34,000th of a second. The Vedic clock has been created to help the younger generation understand the importance of that ancient time science.
He also highlighted that Vikram Samvat was established by Samrat Vikramaditya through his valiant efforts. During his reign, no citizen was in debt; everyone was debt-free, thanks to the immense blessings of Rinmukteshwar Mahadev. Dr. Yadav emphasized that Navagraha worship is unique to India because all celestial bodies—planets, moons, constellations, and the entire cosmos—belong to us and will forever remain sacred.
Dr. V.D. Kabra, Director of the Hospital, gave the welcome address, and Dr. Prakhar Kabra provided detailed information about the hospital.
During his visit to Badnagar, Chief Minister Yadav also offered prayers at the local Bhagwati Mata Temple and received blessings.
