BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi today took a big dig at Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He said that the use of the word 'terrorist' (terrorist) for the majority Hindu community of Jharkhand during Ram Navami by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the official press release is extremely shameful and unfortunate.
He said that the Chief Minister of any state is expected to adopt equal behavior and respectful language towards all citizens, but here he has exposed his malicious thinking by using provocative and divisive words.
The BJP leader claimed that the word used by CM is exactly the same effort as the Congress had earlier tried to create a false narrative of 'Hindu terrorism' to save religious terrorists. Now Hemant Soren, walking on the same path, is trying to defame the majority community in Jharkhand under a well-thought-out strategy.
He said that the people of Jharkhand will not allow this hateful and jihadi thinking of Hemant Soren to succeed. The Chief Minister should immediately apologize publicly to the majority Hindu society and clarify what was his intention behind using such a derogatory and objectionable word against his own citizens? ... Otherwise, the people of Jharkhand will give a befitting reply.
Marandi also targeted the state government on the appeasement policy of state government. Marandi today reached Balu village of Kanke, Pithoria and took detailed information from the villagers about the violent incident that took place during the Sarhul procession.
Marandi said that it is very shameful and unfortunate that the administration is trying to suppress the truth by whitewashing the matter.
He said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren ji should listen carefully that the voice of the tribal society cannot be suppressed under the guise of appeasement.
He said that the administration should immediately identify the accused and ensure their arrest, so that no one can dare to do such a daring act in future.
