The Mahashivratri Chhau Dance Festival 2025 was grandly organized at Sangeet Natak Akademi Chhau Kendra, Chandanakiyari, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The event was inaugurated by Haradhan Mahato, along with Dilip Jena, Vijay Kumar, Ashutosh Kumar, and Chhau Guru Rakho Bauri.
Chhau troupes from Saraikela, Purulia, and Chandanakiyari performed mesmerizing acts depicting various forms of Lord Shiva and the Shiva-Parvati wedding. Under the guidance of Dr. Sanjay, the festival was successfully executed, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Chhau dance.
