The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, successfully hosted "Kalpataru 2025", from March 6-8, alongside the grand alumni meet, Reminiscence, on March 7-8. The event concluded on a high note with the Kalpataru 25 Annual Gathering, graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Padma Shri awardee Bheru Singh Chouhan as the Chief Guest and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), SCRB, MP, Chanchal Shekhar as the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Dr. K. Ravichandran, Director, IIFM, underscored the institute’s commitment to holistic development and its vision for the future. The dignitaries lauded IIFM for its efforts in fostering a vibrant academic and extracurricular culture. The three-day Kalpataru 2025 commenced on March 6 with Guts and Glory, a competitive challenge that saw participation from 15 teams, with Team Hanuman emerging victorious.
The Treasure Hunt attracted 54 teams, with Shashi Dharan, Shreyas, and M.G. Gowda clinching the top spot. Sports and cultural events remained the highlight of the fest. The Fusion Championship, featuring various sporting activities, witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with the team led by Harsh Tawri securing first place. On March 08, the literary event Kaavyam, a poetry competition, crowned Shrishti Agarwal as the winner. The fest also featured exciting basketball and volleyball matches between students and faculty members.
The alumni meet, Reminiscence, welcomed graduates from the 1998, 1999, and 2014 batches, bringing together former students to relive cherished memories. The nostalgic event, Yaadon Ki Baarat, created an engaging platform for alumni to reconnect with faculty members and fellow batchmates.
A host of adventure activities, including archery, rappelling, and paintball challenges, kept the energy levels high. Traditional pottery-making sessions, along with vibrant food and handicraft stalls set up by students, added a cultural touch to the celebrations. The event reaffirmed IIFM Bhopal’s legacy of nurturing academic excellence, leadership, and lifelong connections, leaving participants with memories to cherish for years to come.
