Jharkhand has become a laboratory of appeasement, says BJP

Friday, 28 February 2025 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP has strongly reacted to the violence that took place on the day of Mahashivratri in Ichak of Hazaribagh district. BJP state spokesperson Ajay Sah has held the state government completely responsible for this incident. He said that this violence is not just a one-day incident, but it is the result of the policies and thinking of the last five years, which is gradually weakening Jharkhand from within. He alleged that this is the same politics of appeasement, the foundation of which was laid by the Congress even before independence, and now Jharkhand has become a “laboratory of this policy”.

Sah alleged that the policy of Muslim appeasement of Congress and JMM is visible in the state in various forms. Giving examples, he said that forcibly closing schools on Fridays, giving shelter to illegal Bangladeshi intruders, giving political protection to sleeper cells, making tribal girls victims of 'love jihad', expansion of organizations like Popular Front of India (PFI) and promoting large-scale conversion are part of this policy.

Referring to the riots in Ranchi in 2022, Sah said that there was a riot in the capital in broad daylight, but till now it is not clear who was the mastermind behind it. He said that that incident of June 10 gave a signal to the rioters across Jharkhand that even if they burn the city, the government will not take any concrete action against them.

Sah further alleged that the appeasement policies of the Hemant government gave an opportunity to terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda to spread their feet in Jharkhand. He also said that so far no minister of the government has made any statement against Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, who has been arrested for promoting Al-Qaeda in the state.

Regarding the Hazaribagh violence, Sah expressed surprise that even when the identity of the culprits has been made clear, a minister of the government is trying to indirectly threaten the Hindu society. He warned that if the Jharkhand government does not give up its appeasement policies soon, the state will completely fall into the grip of miscreants.
