As a result of the efforts of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Jharkhand is rapidly moving on the path of becoming an "Investors Hub". In this regard, a proposal for investment of more than Rs 26 thousand crore has been received from entrepreneurs / investors in Jharkhand. This investment will create more than 15 thousand jobs. The investors who have proposed investment met the Chief Minister in "Advantage Jharkhand" organized under the two-day Bengal Global Business Summit- 2025 started at Biswa Bangla Mela grounds, Kolkata and gave detailed information about the plan to set up enterprises. Many of these investors informed the Chief Minister about the plan to set up new enterprises while some entrepreneurs informed the CM about the plan to expand their already established industries here.
Assuring the investors, the CM said that the government will provide all possible support to those setting up enterprises in Jharkhand.
The investors placed before the CM the problems and problems arising with land acquisition regarding investment. The CM said that the government will take cognizance of the issues you have raised in the direction of setting up enterprises in this state and will resolve them. Our government is moving forward with such a policy and plan to promote investment in the state, which will benefit the common people along with the investors. Our effort is to promote such industries, which create maximum employment. Go ahead to invest in this state, our government will support you.
The CM told the investors that Jharkhand is a state with immense possibilities. There are many such areas with abundance of mineral resources, where investment can be made. For this, just as you need our support, we need your support. With the cooperation of all, we can speed up development in Jharkhand.
A proposal of investment of Rs 8485 crore has been received from SM Steel and Power Limited for the iron and steel industry. This will provide direct employment to more than 1400 people and indirect employment to more than 3000 people.
The Indian Steel and Wire Product Limited has proposed an investment of Rs 1270 crore for setting up steel and wire industry. This will provide employment to more than 600 people.
Gajanan Ferro Private Limited has proposed an investment of Rs 1050 crore. This will provide employment to more than 900 people.
SM Steel and Power Limited has proposed an investment of Rs 2800 crore in the field of power generation. This will provide employment to more than 1600 people.
Voltex Rail Private Limited has proposed an investment of about Rs 4000 crore for setting up a special steel plant. This plant will provide employment to more than 2000 people.
Ramakrishna Forgings Limited has proposed an investment of more than Rs 313 crore for fabrication, grey, SG and ADI casting plant. This will provide employment to more than 500 people.
BMW Industries Limited has proposed an investment of about Rs 1100 crore for a cold rolling mill plant. This investment will provide employment to more than 1500 people.
Rashmi Metallics Limited has proposed an investment of Rs 3800 crore for an integrated steel plant. This will provide employment to more than 3000 people.
Supreme Metal Export Limited has proposed more than Rs 3000 crore for setting up a rolled steel plant. This will provide employment to more than 1500 people.
SKY Corp proposed an investment of more than Rs 400 crore to the Chief Minister for the manufacture of leather related products in Jharkhand. This investment will provide employment to more than 1000 people. This will bring a new revolution in the leather industry of Jharkhand.
The Textile Association of Jharkhand and entrepreneurs associated with the textile industry in Bengal also met the CM and expressed their desire to invest in Jharkhand. He said that there is a lot of potential for investment in the textile sector in Jharkhand. The CM told them that the government will soon bring a new policy to promote the textile industry in the state.
The CM inaugurated the Jharkhand Pavilion set up under the Bengal Global Business Summit- 2025 at Biswa Bangla Mela grounds, Kolkata. Stalls have been set up by various sectors of Jharkhand in this pavilion.
On this occasion, many officials including MLA Kalpana Soren, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Secretary Manoj Kumar, Secretary Jitendra Singh and Secretary Vipra Bhal were present.
