The third Annual Conference of the Madhya Endocrine Society will be held in Jabalpur on February 1-2. Endocrinologists from across the country will participate and present lectures.
They will also engage in discussions with attending doctors. The endocrine system affects all parts of the body, contributing to disorders such as diabetes, thyroid issues, obesity, abnormal growth in height, and delayed or early puberty.
Other conditions include infertility due to hormonal imbalances, unwanted hair growth in women, breast development in men, excessive bone weakness, recurrent kidney stones, and parathyroid growth disorders. Endocrinologists specialise in diagnosing and treating these conditions.
Given the system's broad impact, the conference will include symposiums on paediatrics, bone diseases, gynaecology, cardiology, kidney issues, and metabolic health. A special insulin workshop has been organised for Community Health Officers, with Chief Medical Officer Dr Sanjay Mishra attending.
The programme will feature addresses by Dr Lt Gen Narendra Kotwal, National President of the Endocrine Society of India, Dr Colonel KVS Hari Kumar, National Secretary of ESI, Dr Prof Subodh Banjal, and Dr Sunil M. Jain, Provincial Secretary.
Senior endocrinologists such as Dr Sushil Jindal, Sunil Ambulkar, Dr Vipul Bandopadhyay, Dr Kalpana Dara, Dr Sachin Chitravare, Dr Jaydeesh Khare, Dr Rajesh Verma, and Dr Pankaj Jain will also present lectures.
MD Medicine, MS Surgery, SS Obstetrics, and MD Paediatrics students will present their research in the pre-paper or poster competition. 300 doctors have registered for the event, which will also be broadcast live on YouTube.
